Every Captain (or Assistant Captain) of the 30 NHL teams wore this commemorative patch on their jerseys on to support the 10th Anniversary of the NHL/NHLPA Hockey Fights Cancer Foundation by auctioning their jerseys.
Because of the various designs of the jersey the patch was placed on the 1) right front side - teams who have a front number on the jersey;
2) left front side - most of the teams;
3) right shoulder - worn by the New York Rangers
