Canucks wore this patch to honour their owner Frank A. Griffiths who died
on April 7th, 1994. Griffiths, a Vancouver media mogul (Western International
Communications Ltd.) owned the Canucks from 1974 until his death in 1994
when the Canucks reached the Stanley Cup Finals. He was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in as a builder in 1993. |
