The Devils wore this patch for one game after the retirement ceremony for Martin Brodeur´s #30.
Niedermayer was drafted in the 1st round (20th overall) in the 1990 NHL Entry Draft and spent 21 seasons with the Devils.
Brodeur is widely regarded as one of the greatest goaltenders of all time.
