Daneyko was drafted in the 1st round (18th overall) in the 1982 NHL Entry Draft as the first pick of the Devils after the franchise relocated from Colorado and spent his entire NHL career (1983-2003) with the New Jersey Devils.
He playes 1283 NHL regular season games, 175 NHL playoff games and won the Bill Masterton Throphy in 2000 for his perseverance and sportmanship.
